THE DAMNED

London's The Damned, formed in 1976 by Dave Vanian, Brian James, Captain Sensible, and Rat Scabies, were the first UK punk band to release a single ("New Rose") and a studio album, 1977's Damned Damned Damned on Stiff Records. They quickly evolved beyond their raw punk roots, incorporating gothic rock and psychedelic elements into their sound. Expect a dynamic performance from a band known for their theatricality and a genre-spanning discography that still delivers a potent, driving energy.
