Iranian-Canadian multi-instrumentalist Sina Bathaie, born in Yazd in 1986, has carved a unique niche by blending traditional Persian music with contemporary electronic soundscapes. Having learned santur from his father, Javad Bathaie, at age seven, his 2017 album Ray of Hope on Windcatcher Records showcased his distinctive fusion.
