CORY WEEDS BIRTHDAY BASH

Vancouver's own Cory Weeds, a saxophonist and impresario, is the founder of the Grammy-winning Cellar Music Group record label. He's joined by an impressive lineup for his birthday bash, including Pittsburgh-born trumpeter and vocalist Benny Benack III, known for his 2017 debut One of a Kind, and four-time Juno Award-winning Canadian pianist David Braid. The rhythm section features Vancouver's John Lee, who released his debut album The Artist in 2022 on Cellar Live, and Chicago drummer George Fludas, a veteran sideman with an extensive touring history. Expect a night of hard-swinging, dynamic jazz from this cross-border collective.
