WES ANDERSON QUINTET

Vancouver drummer Wesley Anderson leads his quintet through classic bebop and hard bop repertoire, with plans to record his debut album for Cellar Music shortly after their upcoming performances. He is joined by a formidable lineup including pianist Tilden Webb, saxophonist Ardeshir Pourkeramati, trumpeter Julian Borkowski, and bassist Jake McIntyre-Paul. Their sound is rooted in the swinging rhythms and soulful improvisations of jazz legends like Horace Silver and Miles Davis. Expect an evening of sophisticated, high-energy jazz.
