THE SMASHING PUMPKINS

The Smashing Pumpkins, formed in Chicago in 1988 by frontman Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha, bassist D'arcy Wretzky, and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, became a defining force in 90s alternative rock, breaking out with their 1993 album Siamese Dream. Their sound blends heavy, layered guitars with gothic sensibilities, dream pop, and progressive rock elements, often featuring Corgan's cathartic lyrics. Currently on "The Rats In A Cage Tour" celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, their live shows are a powerful display of dynamic songwriting. Expect a vast, atmospheric rock spectacle, perfectly suited for the expansive acoustics of Rogers Arena.
