DUMMY

The Los Angeles indie pop band Dummy, comprised of Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O'Dell, and Joe Trainor, has consistently delivered a refined take on noisy indie pop since their 2021 debut album, Mandatory Enjoyment, released on Trouble in Mind Records. Their sound balances chiming guitars and steady motorik rhythms with walls of distortion and overloaded keyboards. With their upcoming album, do you love the colour of the sky?, due October 16, 2026, Dummy continues to evolve, pushing into more danceable rhythms and new age-influenced soundscapes. Expect a blend of thoughtful composition and immersive sonic textures.
