The Blasting Company, originally formed in 2008 by half-brothers Justin Rubenstein and J.R. Kaufman in Los Angeles, is best known for composing the critically acclaimed soundtrack for the 2016 Cartoon Network mini-series Over the Garden Wall. Their sound, which they've cultivated since their early days busking, is a rich blend of Eastern European folk, American folk, and jazz, often featuring lush acoustic arrangements with prominent brass and strings.
