MADELEINE ELKINS TRIO

Vancouver's own Madeleine Elkins Trio, featuring William Chernoff on bass and Kevin Romain on drums, has quickly become a notable presence in the Canadian contemporary jazz scene, releasing their debut album, Brighton Train, in 2025 on the Infidels Jazz label. Elkins' intricate compositions blend contemporary jazz with elements of modern bluegrass and post-punk guitar sounds, often building around a central guitar riff. Inspired by exploratory artists like Bill Frisell and Mary Halvorson, their sound offers a fresh, varied approach to improvised music. Expect a dynamic and engaging performance.
