SAMMY VOLKOV

Edmonton-based Canadian-American singer-songwriter Sammy Volkov first gained national attention with his 2022 debut album, Be Alright!, which hit #1 on CKUA's Top 30 Chart. Known for his "cinematic retro craftsmanship" and vulnerable delivery, Volkov's sound blends classic pop songwriting with contemporary indie folk and chamber arrangements. His vocals, often compared to Roy Orbison and Chris Isaak, float above a backdrop of gentle rock, reverb-heavy guitars, and touches of country. Expect a timeless, melancholic journey through meticulously crafted songs.
