MIESHA & THE SPANKS

Calgary's Miesha Louie, a mixed-Secwépemc singer-songwriter, has been the driving force behind Miesha & The Spanks since 2008, with Sean Hamilton joining on drums in 2015. The duo, winners of the 2024 WCMA for Breakout Artist of the Year, recently released the EP Visions on SUPERCONNECTED, following their 2023 album Unconditional Love In Hi-Fi on Mint Records. Their sound is a high-octane blend of garage rock with gritty, fuzzed-out guitar riffs and Louie's powerful, full-throated vocals, all anchored by Hamilton's pounding, energetic drumming. Expect raw, unapologetic rock and roll.
