NOTOS QUARTETT

The Berlin-based Notos Quartett, formed in 2007, quickly established itself as a formidable presence in chamber music, earning six first prizes at international competitions and releasing their acclaimed 2017 debut, Hungarian Treasures, on Sony Classical/RCA. Composed of Sindri Lederer (violin), Andrea Burger (viola), Benjamin Lai (cello), and Antonia Köster (piano), the ensemble is celebrated for its precise balance and profound sensitivity in interpretation. Their sound blends classical mastery with a commitment to unearthing forgotten works and championing new commissions, creating a rich, immersive experience. It's an evening of refined artistry, perfectly suited for the intimate acoustics of the Vancouver Playhouse.
