MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

Vancouver's own Vancouver Men's Chorus, Canada's first gay chorus, has been delighting audiences for over 40 years since its founding in 1981. Under the direction of Willi Zwozdesky, the chorus has released several albums, including 1992's Signature and 1994's Making Spirits Bright, and has commissioned new works from Canadian composers. Their sound is a vibrant blend of classical, gospel, jazz, folk, swing, and cabaret, often featuring custom arrangements that highlight their diverse vocal talents. Expect an evening of rich harmonies and heartfelt performances, embracing both beloved classics and new compositions.
