Miguel Tapia, co-founder and drummer of the influential Chilean rock band Los Prisioneros, brings the enduring legacy of the Santiago group to the stage. Formed in 1982, Los Prisioneros rose to prominence with their 1984 debut, La voz de los '80, on the independent Fusión Producciones label, later re-released by EMI. Their sound fuses new wave, punk rock, and synth-pop, driven by a direct, propulsive rhythm section and socially critical lyrics. Tapia's current performances celebrate this history, delivering a powerful connection to a pivotal era in Latin American rock.
