JOSH ROBERTS

Vancouver's own Josh Roberts is a jazz guitarist specializing in the swinging hot jazz styles of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. A Capilano University alumnus, his playing draws inspiration from early electric jazz guitarists like Charlie Christian and George Barnes. Roberts is a fixture in the Lindy Hop and swing dance community, leading groups from duos to a thirteen-piece big band. His sound is rooted in driving rhythm and New Orleans-inflected clarinet, delivering a timeless, dynamic swing.
