IMPROV TRIO

Vancouver Pro Musica's Improv Trio features local musicians Matthew Ariaratnam (guitar), Meredith Bates (violin), and award-winning cellist Marina Hasselberg, performing new works by BC composers. Hasselberg, a "standout presence on Vancouver's music scene," is known for her boundless inquisitiveness, blending early music, free improvisation, and contemporary chamber music. The trio's sound is a dynamic interplay of strings and guitar, exploring the fringes of classical and experimental genres with a focus on spontaneous collaboration. Expect an evening of intricate textures and unexpected sonic landscapes.
