FONVILLE/FRIBUSH

The collaborative project of acclaimed drummer Corey Fonville (Butcher Brown) and in-demand organist Sam Fribush, Fonville x Fribush delivers a fresh take on the classic organ trio sound. Their debut EP, 'R&B Organ Trio,' arrived in January 2026, followed by their LP, 'What Day Is It,' in February 2026, both released on WarHen Records. The duo, often featuring a rotating cast of guitarists like Alan Good Parker and Charlie Hunter, blends jazz, funk, R&B, and hip-hop, pushing the limits of the genre with crispy beats and soulful organ melodies. Their sound is a "blue collar jazz" — rooted in the down-home soundscapes of North Carolina and Virginia. Expect a modern, palatable groove.
