DJ QUEST

A true innovator in turntablism, Salvadorean-born Questosahn moved to San Francisco in the early 80s, where he quickly became known as DJ Quest. He co-founded The Bullet Proof Scratch Hamsters/Space Travelerz, releasing 1992's Hamster Breaks Vol. 1, a foundational record for battle DJs, and later formed the experimental jazz/hip-hop group LiveHuman. His sound is an unpredictable, aggressive-funk, built on raw, distinct scratch work and a deep understanding of rhythm. Expect a masterclass in technical DJing.
