ATMOSPHERE

The Minneapolis hip-hop duo Atmosphere, comprised of rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and producer Ant (Anthony Davis), have been shaping the underground scene since their 1997 debut, Overcast!. Known for their introspective lyrics and Ant's inventive production, they made a significant impact with 2001's Lucy Ford: The Atmosphere EPs and continue to release new music, including their recent 2025 album Jestures via Rhymesayers Entertainment. Their sound balances melodic and rhythmic vocal delivery with moody, textured beats, often incorporating warm, analog textures and dynamic drum patterns. Expect a journey through honest storytelling and skillfully crafted soundscapes.
