TORA

The Australian electronic band Tora, formed in Byron Bay in 2013, has carved a niche with their blend of chillwave and indie electronica. Composed of Jo Loewenthal, Shaun Johnston, Jai Piccone, and Thorne Davis, their debut album Take A Rest arrived in 2017, followed by 2019's Can't Buy The Mood and 2021's A Force Majeure. Their sound layers graceful vocals over smoothly produced, atmospheric instrumentation, reminiscent of artists like Radiohead and James Blake. Expect a sophisticated, laid-back groove.
