THAO

Virginia-born, San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Thao Nguyen, known mononymously as Thao, is set to release her new album Show Me on October 30 via Kill Rock Stars. This marks her first solo album in six years, following her work as Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, which disbanded in 2021. Her sound, influenced by folk, country, and hip hop, often features a distinctive, gravelly voice over intricate indie-pop arrangements. Expect a dynamic performance that blends personal narratives with broader cultural commentary.
