TAMBURA RASA

Vancouver's own Tambura Rasa, led by Serbian-born guitarist and composer Ivan Tucakov, has been expanding the boundaries of world-fusion music since 2004. Their sound, which has garnered multiple West Canadian Music Award nominations for albums like 2011's Adsum and 2014's Arribada, is a vibrant cross-pollination of Balkan, Spanish, Turkish, and Middle Eastern traditions. Expect a dynamic blend of contemporary grooves and traditional rhythms, with intricate guitar work and soaring violin melodies. It's a journey across continents, designed for movement and discovery.
