STEVE LACY

Compton native Steve Lacy, born Steve Thomas Lacy-Moya, first gained recognition as the guitarist for The Internet before his Grammy-nominated 2019 debut album, Apollo XXI, and his 2022 RCA Records breakout, Gemini Rights. His sound blends alternative R&B, funk, and psychedelic soul, often featuring elastic rhythms and a distinctive guitar-driven production style. His latest album, Oh yeah?, released in July 2026, continues to explore a more electronic sound with introspective lyricism. Expect a sophisticated, genre-bending journey.
