STERÖID

Hailing from the fertile Sydney, Australia punk scene, STERÖID is the brainchild of Gordo Blackers (aka Lord Gordith), known for his work with bands like Gee Tee and Quest Master. Their breakout full-length, Chainmail Commandos, dropped in 2025 via Crypt of the Wizard, following their 2022 debut EP S.M.O.K.E Show. STERÖID crafts a unique "egg metal" sound, blending the hooky, anthemic riffing of New Wave of British Heavy Metal with lo-fi, pitch-shifted vocals and mechanical rhythms. It's a hard-boiled, high-energy rock 'n' roll assault.
