PURITY RING

The Canadian electronic pop duo Purity Ring, consisting of Corin Roddick and Megan James, formed in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2010. They quickly gained acclaim with their 2012 debut album, Shrines, released on 4AD and Last Gang Records, and are currently touring in support of their self-titled fourth album, released in September 2025. Their sound blends ethereal, often childlike vocals with macabre lyrics and adventurous production, featuring down-pitched, distorted vocal samples and side-chained synths. Expect shimmering, kaleidoscopic melodies and drum 'n' bass rhythms that create an otherworldly, yet urgent, sonic landscape.
