PROTEST THE HERO

Whitby, Ontario's Protest the Hero have spent over two decades refining their brand of progressive metal, with their debut full-length Kezia arriving in 2005 via Underground Operations. The band, featuring Rody Walker on vocals, Tim Millar and Luke Hoskin on guitars, and Arif Mirabdolbaghi on bass, built a reputation for intricate musicianship and ambitious songwriting. Their sound is a dynamic blend of technical riffage, complex song structures, and soaring, often theatrical, vocals, all underpinned by a relentless rhythmic drive. Having recently released their new album Within on July 17, 2026, expect a masterclass in controlled chaos and precision.
