POINTED STICKS

Vancouver's own Pointed Sticks, formed in 1978, quickly became a cornerstone of the Canadian punk and new wave scene, signing with Stiff Records and releasing their debut album, Perfect Youth, in 1980. Composed of Nick Jones, Bill Napier-Hemy, Tony Bardach, Ian Tiles, and Gord Nicholl, the band has continued to release new material, including 2022's Beautiful Future. Their sound is a masterclass in sharp, uptempo pop-punk, driven by muscular guitars, driving drums, and witty, cynical lyrics. Expect an energetic blast of classic West Coast punk.
