KAVEH YAGHMAEI

The Iranian-Canadian rock musician Kaveh Yaghmaei, born in Tehran in 1968, is the son of Kourosh Yaghmaei, often called the "godfather of Iranian psychedelic rock". Kaveh Yaghmaei's debut album, Matarsak (Scarecrow), was released in 2003, and he has continued to release music, including the recent singles "Yalda" and "Taghat Biar" in 2026. His sound blends Western rock and progressive elements with Persian folk, featuring prominent guitar work and a driving rhythm section. Expect a sophisticated rock performance with a rich, cross-cultural flavour.
