JON AND ROY

Victoria, British Columbia's Jon and Roy, comprised of Jon Middleton and Roy Vizer, have been a steady presence in the Canadian roots music scene since their 2005 debut album, Sittin' Back. Their sound, often augmented by a bassist, blends indie folk-rock with reggae rhythms and acoustic elements, creating an effortless, nature-inspired vibe. Expect warm, genuine songwriting with Middleton's expressive guitar and gently wavering vocals, all underpinned by Vizer's inventive percussion. It’s a sound that evokes freewheeling summer days and coastal introspection.
