JENNIFER SCOTT & BILL COON TRIBUTE TO ELLA FITZGERALD & JOE PASS

Vancouver-born vocalist and pianist Jennifer Scott, a significant figure in Canadian and American jazz, joins forces with Juno-nominated guitarist Bill Coon, winner of the 2009 National Jazz Award for "Guitarist of the Year." Scott, known for her diverse work in jazz, blues, and world music, has released several albums including 1994's Interactive and 2005's Emotional Girl. Coon, who released Standard Elegance in 2025, brings a sophisticated touch with his extensive background in composition and performance, having collaborated with numerous jazz luminaries. Together, they craft a sound that honours the intricate vocal stylings of Ella Fitzgerald and the masterful guitar work of Joe Pass, delivering a performance rich in melodic interplay and swinging improvisation.
