JACK KAYS

Cincinnati-born multi-instrumentalist Jack Kays, whose real name is John Michael Kays, gained significant traction with his 2020 breakthrough song "Morbid Mind," leading to a deal with Columbia Records. His 2021 debut album, Mixed Emotions, and the collaborative EP My Favorite Nightmares with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, cemented his distinctive blend of punk, folk, alternative, and hip-hop. Kays' sound features raw, emotive vocals delivered over acoustic guitar, often building into cathartic indie-rock anthems with driving percussion and gritty textures. His music offers an honest, vulnerable exploration of mental health and addiction.
