GADAN

The internationally touring folk band Gadan blends Irish traditional music, bluegrass, and Appalachian roots with an Italian flair. Founded by Italian multi-instrumentalists Lorenzo Testa and Jacopo Ventura, the group expanded in 2024 to include Enda Scahill of We Banjo 3 and American clawhammer banjoist Eric Long. Their "strings-only" sound features three banjos, fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, often supported by subtle electronics and a stomp-based rhythm section. It’s a high-energy fusion, designed for lively crowds.
