EXPANDED CINEMA

"Expanded Cinema" is a series presented by the Vancouver Public Library that combines film with live music, movement, and theatre, pushing the boundaries of traditional cinematic experience. The upcoming event features a live, improvised score by Vancouver's Juno-nominated pianist Noah Franche-Nolan and violinist Meredith Bates accompanying Benjamin Christensen's 1922 silent horror film, Häxan. Expect a blend of emotional sincerity and technical intricacy, as the artists create an immersive and atmospheric soundscape for the classic film.
