ESCHER STRING QUARTET

Formed in New York City in 2005, the Escher String Quartet quickly garnered international attention and has since become a fixture at prestigious venues like Wigmore Hall and as Season Artists of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Comprising violinists Adam Barnett-Hart and Brendan Speltz, violist Pierre Lapointe, and cellist Brook Speltz, the ensemble is celebrated for its profound musical insight and tonal beauty, as heard on their critically acclaimed recordings of Zemlinsky and Mendelssohn quartets. Their sound blends individual expressiveness with a seamless collective accord, creating a rich, immersive classical experience. It's a performance crafted for the refined acoustics of the Vancouver Playhouse.
