DJ SURGEON

Birmingham, UK's Anthony Child, known as Surgeon, has been a foundational force in UK techno since his 1994 debut EP on Downwards Records, later becoming a three-year resident at Berlin's Tresor. His sound, often developed through live improvisation with modular systems, is a masterclass in tension, blending tough industrial murk with sophisticated dub-space and a relentless, driving rhythm. His recent 2023 album, Crash Recoil, showcases this dynamic, drawing on influences from Coil to Detroit techno. Expect a raw, uncompromising journey into the heart of techno.
