with Dean Johnson

Hailing from rural Ontario, Cat Clyde, born Caitlin Blockeel, has carved a niche with her soulful blues and folk-tinged sound since her 2017 debut, Ivory Castanets. Her recent album, Mud Blood Bone, released in March 2026 via Concord Records, showcases her Métis roots and a deep reverence for nature, co-produced with Drew Vandenberg. Clyde's music blends raw, introspective lyrics with a crystalline contralto, creating a spacious atmosphere with a modern take on traditional forms. Expect a sound that is both grounded and intimately electrifying.
